@mintybartlam I've always asked myself that too. I guess most of his fans just wanted another 'Transformer', but Reed's always been about progress, I personally feel that if he didn't try something new every project it would've been artistic suicide for him and his music would've gone flat. I don't mean that as a criticism toward him, I just think he would've hated catering to his audience that way. That, to me, is what makes him all the better.

@KingOfUm agree with you about "The Bells". Why do so many people hate it? It's brilliant.
-
@edo8200 Totally, you can listen to those two albums all the way through with a single sore spot. His debut is pretty weak I think, but I love 'The Bells' and 'Street Hassle', though most fans seem to dislike them.

@KingOfUm in my opinion the best lou's album transformer and berlin, but yeah coney islend kicks ass too

@edo8200 I actually really enjoy that album personally, though it does have some dullards. Still, neither of these albums are any match for 'Coney Island Baby'. I'm crazy for that one, even it's session outtakes are amazing.
-
@KingOfUm well, certainly this is not the best album of lou, rock'n'roll heart isn't so fantastic, but really is not shit haha
-
@edo8200 Yeah, a lot of musicians criticize their own less-appreciated works if others do, which is unfortunate.

One of my favorites from this album, I don't care what anyone says about 'Sally Can't Dance' they can criticize and moan about the dated production, what really matters is the song itself, and that album has plenty of amazing songs.

@mperry926 "Mustang Sally" by Mack Rice (1965), covered by many other artists, two of the best-known versions are by Wilson Pickett (1967) and The Commitments (1991).
