zydeco is a louisiana thing. people of all races know zydeco.

When zydeco bands come to Kansas, there is mostly white people there with some black and latino couples. It's all just fun!

zydeco is a black thing how the hell can you teach it

I learned from anyone who was willing to teach me and then added my own insights. Mona, Willie, Harold were just a few of the great Louisiana and Texas instructors I was lucky to learn from.
And it's also a good thing that our skin color does not dictate what we are able to do.
I would recommend learning from anyone you can as Zydeco dance is a "big world" and we all have our unique perspectives to share toward hopefully spreading this wonderful music all over the world!!!
