  • Hi, I have just started doing GKR Karate, and i am going in for my yellow belt on sunday. I shall let you know if I achieve it.

  • @TheWolfsGaming Congratulations! keep up your good work and please do reply back to encourage others.

  • good vid, yeh the kata was changed, you don't even look in the second kata you just go straight into it. Was an ok Kata but why they got that japanese writing on their belts like their some sort of masters? lol

  • @MrKrayyon thanks, no idea really, i was only supporting someone and filmed so don't know the details.

  • @mikeycbd Thanks, and I will. And everyone else who is about to go in for grading, keep up the good work and i hope you get it!

  • @MrKrayyon hey its just how the belts are, some black belts dont have it and some don't. Hope this answers you question ;)

  • the two int he very front had perfect timing in one of the kata.

  • @MrKrayyon the japanese writing is gkr in characters and their grade i believe

  • GKR - Go Kan Ryu. Correct?

  • @MrKrayyon When a GKR exponent grades from Kyu grade to their black belt, they initially havea plain black belt. This iscalled Shodan Ho. After a period of further training, of at least 1 year, they take a further grading, to substantiate their grade, which allows them to have the Japanese lettering on their belts. The people in this video with lettering on their belts are senior Dan grades grading to a higher Dan grade (Ni Dan or higher.)
