  • Thanks! I just finished this course the other day, and I'm curious to see how much easier it will be to follow.

  • It's a shame this is so out of sync.

  • dewa arimasen is probably not used very often in these situations. You should say the shortened form ja arimasen instead to say that something isn't something. It's more useful.

    kamera dewa arimasen

    not a camera

dewa by itself is a formal interjection that means "Now...", "Well...", or "Then..." and is also replaced by ja

  • oh man when he pulls out the present

    EPIC xD

  • Why is it necessary to use the word dewa instead of desu?

  • wat is dewa arimasen?

  • who is the video editor of the original video??!!!!

  • lol he's dating a grandma he must be really desperate

  • Yes, 'mo' can replace both 'wo (or "o")' and 'wa'. I, too, eat an apple. = Watashi mo ringo wo tabemasu. I eat an apple, too. = Watashi wa ringo mo tabemasu. As you can see, you are to place 'mo' immediately after the word that it modifies.

  • So, "mo" means "too", but what about wa, that served to locate the subject in the sentence? If desu is used, it's ok I guess, but when other verbs are used, then it may problematic. Does mo replace "o" as well as "wa"? How do you say "I, too eat an apple" (me too) and how do you say "I eat an apple, too" (besides an orange).
