My issue with Adam Lambert and Gay Celebs

My issue with Adam Lambert and how gay celebrities feel compelled to come out on magazines. I'm not really hating on him in particular, I am just opposed to the trend in general.

Mostly when I talk about Adam Lambert, and other closeted celebrities, and things of that sort, I'm not so bothered about them being in the closet, I'm just annoyed about after they come out in which I'm kind of peeved by the way they exploit their "plight" in the form of books deals, and other things of that sort. It seems selfish.

I don't believe my opinion was out of line. They all have their reasons for doing what they want to do, and I think it is quite clear the way they prioritize things. I just find that they don't deserve praise as "Gay Icons". Now I'm not saying they're bad entertainers or people, I just think that there are a lot of other people who sacrificed part of their career, yet maintained their identity.

Its kind of like Adam Lambert, and the rest are like summer soldier's from the revolutionary war.

While Adam was still in American Idol, he was still just getting used to being a figure of the public eye. And the fact that most Americans do not accept homosexuals into the society, it would ruin his chances of getting to the finals had he acknowledged the public about his sexuality because, the people watching are the ones who determine his fate in the competition. Also, he wanted the public to judge him based on his voice and performances, not his sexual preferences.

I couldn't pay attention to anything he was saying. His nose is so goddamn funny. You're right funnifal. It does look like a mushroom. Something's growing onto his upper lip. Maybe it's a cleft palate or a cleft nose. He needs to have some work done. It wouldn't surpirse me if this ugly freak was bullied at school. Maybe that's why he was to take out his anger on gays.

I don't understand the whole, "I'm proud of my sexuality"? Its not that we should be proud, or ashamed, its simply who we are. Like our eye color, but no one ever says, I'm proud of my eye color.
