I am willing to bet not one of you who think you know about India, have ever been there. No more then you represent the American culture of which I am a part of. I did not see or hear any cuts on Letterman's show. Your trying to make something out of nothing. It was a normal question of someone who has a different culture then ours, and her reaction was spot on. Family's in America all seem to grow up in their own separate cubes anymore. Ms. Aishwarya is very gracious, in her country and ours.

@ka7hy Since when being respectful and grateful to your parents and taking care of them wen they are old became traits of "inflexible rules of society"....but if you say so.....fine i am happy to be a citizen of an 'inflexible society' instead of a society where 60% children are born out of divorce, 20% kids have behavior issues due to broken families, every 90 seconds a kid kills himself.....whch society are we talking abt???....ne gueses???..just google Rainbow international...enjoy!

she gets only annoyed when he comments on indian culture, as long as he was asking about her living with he parents she showed no annoyance in her face. i know many indian people will take offence just by that. and she answers him in a very witty and equally mildly insulting manner. so what's the big deal?
