In this video I've connected my 400 watt Honda generator to my solar charge controller. This prevents the battery from being overcharged and regulates the DC output from the generator.

  • Hello, nice set up! I have a nearly identical set-up. I also bring a Honda EU2000 for "emergency" power if the sun isn't shining. I never thought of using the DC feature to run through my charge controller. That would suppy 8.3 amps. Wouldn't just running a standard, lets say 10 amp charger from the AC side be even better?
