125+ MORE examples of Fox News Bias at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

For months, Fox News has been ginning up opposition to a proposed Islamic center and mosque a couple blocks from "Ground Zero," the site of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, so I wasn't surprised to see Fox News twist President Barack Obama's statement supporting the right of Muslims to be treated equally under the law as going beyond what President Obama actually said, but I was surprised to see so much of the rest of the media following Fox News' lead as I discuss in this video.

The public domain clips I use of President Obama speaking at an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan at the White House come from the August 13, 2010, video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gDLvzr5fCo

The clip I use of Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren breaking the news of President Obama's remarks comes from the August 13, 2010, broadcast of the Fox News program "On the Record" a longer segment of which is available online at http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record/transcript/obama-039ignoring-will...

The clip I use of Fox News contributor Byron York misconstruing President Obama's remarks comes from the August 16, 2010, broadcast of the Fox News program "Happening Now" a longer segment of which is available online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3_0tEk0azw

The clip I use of ABC's Cokie Roberts misconstruing President Obama's remarks comes from the August 15, 2010, broadcast of the ABC program "This Week with Christiane Amanpour" a longer segment of which is available online at http://abcnews.go.com/ThisWeek/video/roundtable-mosque-madness-11404657

The clip I use of Michael Smerconish correctly construing President Obama's remarks comes from the August 16, 2010, broadcast of the MSNBC program "Hardball with Chris Matthews" a longer segment of which is available online at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/vp/38729194#38729194

The image I use of the transcript of President Obama's remarks at an August 13, 2010, Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan at the White House comes from the webpage at http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2010/08/13/remarks-president-iftar...

  • In memory of all those innocent civilians who were murdered senselessly in ALL GROUND ZEROs around the world, including 9/11 (approx. 3000), Iraq (millions), Afghanistan (millions), Kosovo (millions), Ruwanda (millions), Vietnam (millions), Korea (millions), Hiroshima (millions), Nazi/WWII (millions), etc...Let's hope these darkest moments of human history teach us to forego biggotry, love and forgive each other & unite against all those who have harmed humanity in one way or another.

  • I live in New York City. I wish conservatives who were no where near NYC during the event would STOP getting upset over something they know nothing about. The 13 story "Park 21" will be OVER 2 blocks and not in view of ground zero. It will have a memorial to those who died in 9/11. It will have a culinary school, basketball courts, swimming pool, etc. for ANYONE to use. And a prayer space on the top floors. Muslims who were working in the twin towers died too. So sit down and stop complaining.

  • @junkman19571 Your right, because no other religion has it's extremists, only muslims.. Can't believe how correct you are.

  • @MrCope456 I really hope this is sarcasm, because if it is not, it's completely sad that you would write something of that nature.

  • Obama would love it if terrorists attacked America again. He hates this country with a Hitler-like passion just like those Muslims (may shit be upon Mohammed).

  • @LetsAllLuv

I don't mean to demean the victims of the Hiroshima or Nagasaki bombings, but the lower estimate of the civilians who died as a direct result of the bombings was 90000. That's still over 30 times as many who died in 9/11 and many more civilians died as a result of the firebombing of many different Japanese cities during the war.

  • @junkman19571

That's ridiculous. America isn't a Christian country, so if you want to go to Church should you have to go to the Vatican City? No. The Bill of Rights means that you have the right to set up a place of worship wherever you damn well please.

  • lets cut to the chase....we don't trust him, muslims,or liberals..if they want a mosque go to the fucking middle east...the vast vast majority of terrorists in the world today are MUSLIMS.......

  • liberal viewer....are you a muslim perchance......

  • go to arabia and open a bible......

  • he forgot to say as a muslim...

  • @LetsAllLuv screw that WHITEPOWER. lol i am kidding but i do know people who would say that
