  • we can all say we knew this before the influx of fans after Glee covers this :D

  • I can't believe it's been over 27 years since she passed away, and it still feels like it was yesterday. If I could have given my life to save hers, I would have. Just like my Mother, who passed away in 1992. I can't describe the joy Karen gave me, as a teenager, in the early 1970's. Karen Carpenter's songs, gave me joy and memories, that will live forever, and thus, so will she. This Christmas song is a classic, just like Karen.

We, her fans, all love and miss her.!!

    Rest in Peace Karen.

  • Greatest Voice EVER!!!! Karen is my favorite female singer EVER!!!!! This song is one of my favorites!!!!!!!!!

  • I come to you tube all the time and listen to Karen, one of the most fabulous

voices God ever gave to one of his angels.

There will never be another Karen Carpenter. God Bless Her! Oh yes, HE ALREADY DID.

  • What a classic. It always brings tears to my eyes when I listen to it for the first time of the season. Few other songs capture the spirit of Christmas as well as this song does. Karen Carpenter IS the voice of Christmas !

  • @arfies Well said! I understand eating disorders. I was bulimic through my teen years. To this day I still have body image problems. She did not hate life, she felt she had to fit into an image that pleased everyone else. She, possibly did not know how to love SELF. It is a life long battle for those with this kind of disorder. Thanks

  • I fell in love with song the second I heard it in 1970 and rushed out to get the single. I was 15 then and now that I am 56 its still my very favorite Christmas song. Its such ashame Karen passed away. We will always love her voice.

  • I LOVE HER SONG IT REMINDS ME OF THE YEAR I MEET MY CHILDS DAD AND L8TER THAT YEAR I GAVE BIRTH TO A BABY. TIL THIS DAY I CAN SING THIS SONG TO MY BABY AND SHE'S 5 AND IT SOOTHE HER RIGHT OFF TO SLEEP.
