Playing the Eric Clapton Cream classics "Crossroads" and "Sunshine of Your Love" at a uni recital at Edinburgh Napier University, BA (Hons) Popular Music Course, May 2010.

This was my first track so I was well warmed up by the end of it :) I will upload a few more tracks from this performance soon..

It makes a change from the band I normally play in, "Jakil" (check out our YouTube vids)!

The drummer and bass player are Sam Dick and Johnny Steele respectively, and are from the band "Dirty Modern Hero" (Check them out on YouTube too!!)

Love jamming with these guys.

It was a guitar performance so thankfully I wasn't being graded on my singing ability, waheyy!

Enjoy.

  • More like a John Mayer take on crossroads

  • the guitarist is more concerned with looking cool than playing well

  • i know this is a popular/classic song, but why is everyone hating on this? this isnt bad at all

  • not bad... tones a little sloppy doesnt sound organic enough, kind of a clevar mix of the John mayer take on the song and the cream styling. remeber though wheb]n playing the blues it needs to drip from your sould not seem super rehearsed and spot on... just my taking of it though... not a bad cover all in all though keep up the good work

  • yeah!!

  • Slooooowwww Dooooowwwnnnn

  • I don't like the tone.

  • It is GOOD!!

  • @liamnarrie Quite modern and still not ans heresy to the image of Johnson and Clapton. I must say it is an awesome job you have done.

My only advice is for the drummer, that sounds a but mechanical. Give him a pint of something boozy for him to relax and be himself in the drums y'know. Now it is up to you whether listen to the advice or not.

    Cheers

  • @johhnyringolevio It can be you just need to.....Practice.
