This would be the third and final chapter in the saga we called the "Spare Parts Plane Project"

It was a great deal of fun and I'll have a little behind the scenes video coming soon, Until then enjoy this look into the third attempt. It was a great one.

Baking pie or doing our laundry I hope... :P just kidding. Im not exactly sure why but I know that there aren't ANY female flyers at our field. My wife used to come watch for a bit but stays home now.. I think we just have a more playful side to us. There thinking about how to make like better in the long term, we think about the short term

I thought that electronics weren't interchangeable like that. If the esc is too powerful you fry the motor and if the motor is too powerful you fry the esc, right?

Wrong. You want to have the correct balance of prop, motor and esc. As long as everything fits within your equipments parameters your ok. We were deliberately pushing the gear well beyond its limitations. To learn more about these play around with any of the online "prop calculators". See what kv of motor works with what prop to give you what effect, and how many amps that will draw, you can always use a higher amp esc, but never a lower.

Inspirational! Lord knows I have enough shards laying around to build one - you've given me a "Rain-Pouring-Down-Saturday-Project". Couple of questions for you experienced builders:

    1. Where exactly would the CG be on a P-51, F4U, Extra 300, Typhoon 2, Yak? (And no wing-chord-schming-chord answers, keep it simple please.)

    2. Do I have to go to Cape Canaveral to get NASA tape and do I need security clearance to use it?

Well im glad your having fun with the hobby and are brave enough to wreck a lot of gear while doing this type of project... 1: from what I have seen, CG is generally 2.5 to 3 inches behind the leading edge of the wing. Of course this differs from plane to plane so the best thing to do is use that as a guide, fly it, and if it lasted, move it according to how it handles. 2: Nasa tape is a trade secret, id tell you where to get it, but then id have to kill you.. video response yours!

hey guys, all this flying us males like to do kinda makes me wonder what the devil is going on in our brains? I wonder why there are so few women out playing with models and just what the heck are they doing while we are goofing around in fields with toys?
