This part would have made banner seem more human but this actual bit of the movie was pathetic. The 2003 HULK was great and the guy who acted the general had it down pretty good. This movie could have been much better. I wasn't impressed. They made bruce banner seem like a bitch.

Unnecessary philosophical exposition. It might have given a bit more detail to what Bruce was feeling, but this scene didn't serve or advance the actual story of the film in ANY way. At most, it ties in to the thematic concerns about Blonsky and the Abomination, but since we never even SAW Bruce and Betty doing their research (except a snippet in the credits), this scene serves little to no purpose. A good cut.

Liv and Ed did just fine. Great scene, shame it was cut.

Liv Tyler, a bit, um, underwhelming. I loved all the other actor choices.

wow they cut a lot of good scenes from the movie.

i think this part really enhances his character more and describes to us what he's feeling and going through. it's only like half a minute to a minute long, it really shouldn't make much of a difference in terms of the time length of the movie, so they should've thought twice before cutting this amazing bit out.

This was a pretty good scene which did not interfere with the continuity or pace of the story. If anything, it made Bruce Banner a far deeper character in less than a minute of dialogue.
I can pretty much understand why Edward Norton didn't like the finished product very much.

@sighisoaraa you probably just remember the beginning. this isn't in there.

Wow!
Why cut this? It's thought provoking, and it's only 30 second long speech. The Studio's are really trying to dumb us all down. No wonder Norton was pissed.

As much as I enjoy the Hulk's action sequences, I also like taking the time to see Bruce's life dealing with his love for Betty, his frustration of General Ross' plan, and his search for a cure.
