@TheCliffRichard try braking with your left foot that shit is dangerous im glad i tryed it when nobody was around!! no matter how lightly you think your putting your foot down the car slams on the anchors
-
how do you turn off the traction control i have a bertone 2.2
didnt know that was possable
-
@mart456 lol? vx220 is 220bhp the 2.2 astra is 147bhp? and pretty slow really....
-
traction control!

as s15specs says about double clutching, keeping the revs high while changing gear you do not need to double clutch, just push on the acc pedal while changing gear, double clutching nowadays reduces wear on the gears, however you will double the amount of times you use the clutch, downside....... you wear the clutch out quicker
-
i had the same rpm and speed in the astra G 1.6

It isn't that hard to do technically. While changing gears, put it in neutral, let go of the clucth, so the flywheel matches the engine speed, and put it into the gear you were aiming for.
-
Double clutching doensn't just reduce the amount of wear on your engine, it matches the gear speed to the engine speed, resulting in less mph dropped through changing gear.

Nice Vid Mate - is it a standard 2.2? What year is it? Sounds like the exhaust or air filter is non standard?
As for double de-clutching it's a load of nonsense - it was invented for race tracks in the 20's when the optimum fast gear change was maintaining the flywheel speed with that of the crank speed, otherwise things would break.
Older cars up to the 80's it was good for - nowadays it's a load of rubbish; just like people who left foot brake on the roads; total waste of time.
i have just done a 3rd attempt :) at last, have a look

i agree sqexis, my rolling road printout says that my peak power is at 5950rpm, no point getting the extra 1000rpm out of it.
