i saw these guys play about 2 and half years ago in Kansas City at the Gem Theatre at 18th and Vine. It was the last performance at a high school jazz festival, and they brought the house down! It definitely ranks as one of the best shows i have ever been to. They closed with Song with Orange, and it looked exactly like this movie, i was pissed when they stopped playing.

Oh, yes! There are a ton of badasses on the band. But perhaps the baddest cat of all is pianist, David Kikoski. This cat kills from the moment he wakes up in the morning. Catch him live ANY and EVERY chance you can.

These guys are all badasses. Seamus, Cuber, Handy, Herwig, Damn dude the list goes on. This is the best jazz band I have ever heard in my life, they are just on a whole another level

I love the mingus big band.Went to see them in 96 one of the best concerts i have been to.John Stubblefield was leading the horn section which included Don Braden,Chris Potter and Steve Slagle.Kenny Drew jr,Andy Mcgee and Adam Cruz were badass too!!This tune is absolutely swinging and everybody including the audience is having a good time.Feeling this one in my bones it's pure mingus!!!
