the rocks also help the top layer from drying out...never let soil dry out ,,it alters the good bacteria that live in it ...mainly by killing them ..chlorine evaporates relatively easily if you let it sit for a day or two...pour water from my tap and let it sit in a bottle without a cap ...usually three days before use to water plants...if your town adds fluorine in your tap water or the bottle company to your bottle..it will not evaporate and will damage your plant in the long run

tap water and a western-facing window have created a monster out of my Money Tree. My wife threatens to trim it all the time and I dont trust her to do it right. Troube is, Im worried that if I trim it, it will be lopsided. It has long since left its braids and the stalks are taking up a huge part of the living room. Is it safe to cut a whole stalk off at the base of the braid? Will it grow back in that spot?
