A bicycle ride from Ann Arbor, MI, to Toledo, OH (LZ secret hero of this story). The purpose of this trip was to meet astronomers and to bemuse Americans.
Shame on America for not having even a single direct form of public transport between the two towns. So much for United States.
Much gaiety was found, and memories accumulated over the 110 miles.

We had a great public trasportation system over a hundred years ago. Times changed and everyone had to have a car.
