Where Leo found the cheese-puff

I probably have been sitting here watching "Leo" videos for an hour. He was just amazing. I love birds, but have only ever had parakeets. My parents recently got a green-cheek about a year ago and ever since then I have been in love:) I swear he thinks he is a dog. Long story short, my new baby sun conure will be arriving in just a few weeks. He will be 9 weeks old so I'm hoping I can spoil him enough to make him 1/2 as great as you all did Leo. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was awesome.

I want him to have freedom. It's good for kids, birds, dogs... If you keep them trapped, when they have a chance to go, they run. If they always have freedom, they're not afraid to come back because they know they won't be trapped.

@TheJudyfair "Not allowed" to have cheese puffs??? What kind of talk is that? Do you still live with your parents? He sure is allowed to have cheese puffs. I've seen wild Sun Conures eat discarded ice cream and potato chips and I don't see daddy Sun going around saying "you're not allowed!!!"
Leo ate plenty healthy. Just like people, he gets occasional junk food.

Just wondering what kind of jobs everyone in the family has? do you work at home which is why Leo is such a well taken cared bird? I don't think I'd get one if I couldn't even meet its required social needs, wouldn't bare thinking of leaving such a social animal alone in the house!

@aimeebaines That's a really good question. For the first 3 years, I was self-employed; I worked 15 hours a day, and he was with me the whole time. It really was good for him. Obviously, he did not thrive once I got a regular job - with him alone in the house so often.
