They have to cut reiners and junpers tails so that when the reiner slides they don't step on their tail and the same when the jumpers leave the ground to take off they don't step on it!! All you "natural horse people" don't get what it takes to do this stuff!

because they step on their tails if they are too long in reining when they back up- they have to be cut.

the first time i saw fake tails i just thought they were freaking long natural tails... then one of them fell off in the middle of the show. XD i just don't get it.

Sometimes if it grows natural it will get too long and they rip it out on the backup. I had that happen to me once and I've kept them trimmed ever since.

great run.. it would have been cool if you won but i watched the girl who, her video and i think that they gave her more "points" because she did a little more, as in costume wise. with the ribbons and such. BUT you should have got huge brownie points and should have been first cause you went bridleless. so, i give you my brownie points! aWsOmE JOB!
