On game day, athletes often struggle to perform as well as they do in practice. Similarly, students who have prepared well for the SAT or ACT often struggle to maximize their potential on test day. This was the situation in which one of my students found herself during the fall of senior year. So what do you do if you score really high on practice SAT tests but fail to reach the same level on test day when it really counts? Join me in this prepcast as I recount one not-so-unique story.

No, colleges will not throw out your scores, if you take the SAT more than a few times.

  • SAT testing is such an onerous task..... D:

  • I think what this man means is his tutor got a perfect score on the reading

Part of the test because the SAT is made up of 3 parts writing, reading, and math ( then it was only 2 parts reading and math) any catergory of which the highest you can score is 800 equaling a perfect 2400 back then only a 1600. But now the SAT is designed more intricately

  • @mido176 out of 800 ? or 1600

  • @PreethiVn Good luck!

  • i took the ACT once. once was enough.

  • really appreciate this vid...it inspires me because im under the same conditions as that girl :/

  • why would the schools you apply to know how often you have taken the test? DO you have to go to the SAT admission thing and get something signed or sth??

(I'm from Germany, sorry for my lack of knoledge in the sat area)

  • no

you can take the test as many times as you want

    there's no penalty for trying
