Timelapse of the Monument Fire near Sierra Vista AZ, Taken between 10:15AM and 3:00 PM on June 19th. Shows the massive flare up due to high winds.
Special thanks to Village Meadows Baptist Church for allowing me to set up my equipment on their campus.
Shot on a Samsung Q10
I'll never forget that day, watching one huge black cloud of smoke after another shooting out of that mountain. Cheers to all that fought the fires and minimized the potential catastrophe that could've happened.

Wow indeed! The burning period for most all wildfire is 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Meaning that wildfires burn most intensely during those hours. We have just witnessed a *blow up* of major proportions with some long range spotting! Could be a long night out there on the mountain and unto the Eastern flats.
