Why do people post videos on you tube about equipment they have no idea about, it shocks me, anybody thinking about buying this device, pls pls dont listen to this guy about the connections, you could damage the audio interface, ive been in this game for 30 years and i know what im talking about.....oh by the way, edirol has been rebranded cakewalk by the roland corp,,,,,,

Its called an interface. Capture device is not a very common term in audio recording, and even then it is used its used as a verb not a noun. It basically converts an analogue signal into digital information and then it converts digital information back into analogue.
