no, they mainly show SWCC and SEALs. but now that you bring it up, thats the case with all advertisements. whiny booters like you are the type that should have been weeded out at RTC. unfortunately a few dirtbags slip through.
if you have no love for your job... jump off the deck. cause thats the only real way out.
I don't disagree with you there are shitbag chiefs but they are typically stowed away where their worthlessness won't interfere with the work the NAVY needs accomplished. I see this seaman in this video and he has to realize that it's up to him to apply himself to earn his place in the NAVY. I have seen E2's navigate a ship into port, lead a weapons offload and they have earned the respect from ship and crew. But they didn't bitch they just did it.
you don't earn these positions, they're just kind of handed to you on a schedule if you stick around long enough, make the occasional random promotion and stay out of trouble. just don't get caught, and you can be a complete shitbag master chief. i've seen it happen.
You need to earn the positions of respect and responsibility. You need to qualify something and get your ass on a ship. No sane person will hand over their lives or lives of their shipmates to a non-qualified seaman who seems to be directing his skills to a mop and Video Camera. You should be out getting qualified a watch station so you can clean and standwatch. And when you qualify everything you can and become a senior person you will still clean. NAVY doesn't have maid service.
I've picked up a ton of trash in the past 5 1/2 years, but I was never alone doing it. Usually the worst jobs are the most fun. I've been chin-deep in raw sewage and i laughed until i cried. I've been on three ground combat tours in Iraq as a convoy security team machine gunner, and I cried until i laughed. Life is what you make it. Sure the Navy sucks sometimes, but I wouldn't trade these experiences for anything!
so were you on the hawk

1:11 is good training for when you are on deployment.

So, you don't like truth in Advertising? The Navy recruiting ads only show the "glamorous" side of it.

Rank and respect are not the same thing.

another video of booters bitching about cleaning. hell get used to it. Cleaning stations, FOD walk-downs, etc.
enjoy your time in te navy; although the good times are a lot rarer. they definitely outweigh the bad.

Justifying what you have to do is senseless!
