That other guy's boss Hansen who takes left wing Heinz money, and they get government money. So they are going to boost Climate Alarmism. it means they get more money for more study. Both sides have vested interests. The squeeky when gets the grease. Raise alarm and scare people, you will get more cash. Tell everyone there is not really a problem, and that it is normal to warm a bit after the Little Ice Age, (approx. 0.8C since then) you will get little research money at all.

Please explain how they can get more tax payer $ by supporting or not global warming. They get their salary and salary increases no matter what they conclude. Remember they were running against the administration political agenda during the 8 years of the Bush administration it did not stop them ringing the alarm. To Bush's great frustration he could not fire them so he tried to mussel them - see scandles at NASA, NOAA, EPA, & NIH - that did not work either
