i'd sought this episode out due to paul mcgann and found joey character annoying. but then i watched all episodes in reversed order. now re-watching this ep, joey is now not as annoying in comparison to maddie, and the same with carla in comparison on maddie, the stab-you-in-the-back opportunist, spiteful, clueless and very unattractive spectrum of humanity. blackadder is abusively funny, maddie is not.

for all the maddie lovers, i hope you do get your (solo) maddie series, so all can be happy.

Geez...Maddie was only in the show from 1997-2000 for the last 10 years she hasn't been in an episode get over it! It's called Jonathan Creek not Maddie M, just enjoy it!
