This is the footage taken from an eight day canoe trip I did with a friend of mine in the Temagami region in Ontario, Canada.
It was my first trek in Temagami and it proved to be a tough go but worth every effort. It's worth noting that a good chunk of the trip wasn't actually in a park at all, hence some difficult portages.
The route involved about 41 lakes and rivers and I have a full one hour trip log in the wings that I will likely be posting on a future date to help anyone who would like to do this same trip or sections of it.
To outline the loop we did, some of the bodies of water involved - starting with: Red Squirrel Lake, Eagle Lake, Sir Devon Lake, Lady Evelyn Lake, Sucker Gut Lake, Lady Evelyn River - South Channel, Diamond Lake, Sharp Rock Inlet and back to Red Squirrel Lake.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy it...

  • Hey Troy.. WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE SONG AT THE END OF THE VIDEO??? Where did you get it?? I can't figure out the name of it... thanks!

    Also, great vid once again!

  • @FlingBoogers Funny this comment should roll in right now. I'm currently packing some food for a trip this coming weekend and listening to the Felice Brothers as I putter along (listing to 'Love Me Tenderly').

The song at the end of this video is called "Got What I Need". If you like that song, you're in for a treat since there's a lot more great stuff they've put out. I really recommend some of their earlier stuff but it can be hard to find.

Glad you're enjoying the vids... thanks.

  • Hi Troy, Makes my trips look a little tame. I'd like to know the name of the Felice Brothers Song at the end too...???

    Cheers from London, England

  • @rodnlens Glad you liked the song. It's a favorite of mine too. It's from a band called "The Felice Brothers" and the song is called "Got What I Need". I would recommend you check out more of their stuff, this song is one gem of many.

  • gotta be honest man, im jealous of you. i hope some day i can go on various canoe trips like this. minus the walking. so more like camping, canoeing, fishing on a lake without the extra work of hauling it around haha.

  • is there not any updated information on these routes you take? paix - good journey

  • Hey Troy, i'm just getting in to the whole Backpacking thing and I must say, I really enjoy your videos. I can't wait to go on a canoeing trip myself. I hope you have some new videos coming along soon!

  • Hi,

Wil you be coming up with new trip footage soon?

Really like your films, i like to paddle my trips in Sweden and or Norway if i got the chance.

    Greetz from the Netherlands,

    Bas

  • Nice job on your presentation. Temagami portages can be memorable, indeed, but it's well worth it. How often were you able to fish? Did you manage to land any trout?

  • Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, superb man, i wish i was there with you guys.

  • wow nice trip Troy, the winds at 8:50 reminded me of my last day in minnesota, i was on a 9 day canoe trip, northern tier, if you know about it, but we had to paddle in headwinds for 12 miles that resembled the winds you faced, gosh it was a great trip

  • @brenden0304 yes, read the description

  • Beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing.
