Brett's last season with the Packers. It's a shame he was pushed out of town like a criminal because Ted Thompson couldn't wait to give his prized QB the keys to the team. Aaron Rodgers, by the way, is a class act and I think is going to be a fine quarterback for many years. He handled himself very well during that time. He is not at fault. Packers management, beginning with Ted Thompson, should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treated Favre.

Ted Thompson sent Brett Favre to the place that would give him the least chance at success and betrayed him in the process. I have no issue with the Packers trading him... I have a problem with the manner in which they went about it. In my opinion, Brett had every reason to want to "stick it to Ted" as he said. Good for him. See you in Canton, Brett.

  • hey Backtotennessee, the packers won a super bowl without Favre. Yes, he was a great QB for us but if he can't make up his mind, well to bad out of town you go. So, get ur facts straight ass wipe.

  • @sabth4evr Grow up and move past the elementary name calling. What facts did I have wrong? This video was put up long before the Packers won the Super Bowl. However, it doesn't change my opinion that Thompson handled it like sh*t. Looking back on it, I don't necessarily disagree with the move, just the way it was done. I am a Packers fan for life and have nothing but love for Rodgers and Favre both. Favre won us a Super Bowl and that new stadium wouldn't be there without him & Reggie.

  • Like it or not, Thompson did the right thing. Aaron Rodgers has a Super Bowl in his third year starting. If you think Favre was not at fault at all and this is all Thompson and McCarthy's fault, you're an idiot. They are both equally at fault.

  • @JonathonZenk My issue was not with the move as much as it was with how the move was handled. The Packers handled it like sh*t and lied to the public to make Favre look bad on top of it. Some thanks for the guy who brought the team it's first Championship in almost 30 years. Enjoy that renovated Lambeau Field. It is the stadium that Brett Favre and Reggie White built. I'm thrilled Rodgers is our QB... But it doesn't mean I'm so short-sighted that I forget what Favre did for the Packers.

  • Dude I may be late but Ted didn't want to trade Favre in the same conference none of that stuff happened. And his lease success? What they had slot recievers all over the Jets but the Bucs didn't. If Favre was so good he should be able to learn an offence good and fast. And Gruden was the coach in '08

  • @trascherpeytontrasch I can't even attempt to respond to this rambling, misspelled nonsense. Thanks for watching the video, but please keep the commentary to a minimum until you have a foundation of knowledge (not only of football, but grammar and spelling) to base it on.

  • I love how Packers fans forget how their franchise was garbage for about 20 years b4 04 got there. Was he reckless yes but he took average teams and made them relevant.

  • I'm sorry but Brett wasn't ran out of town. I love Brett and Aaron but Brett wasn't ran out of town. He retired and TT and MM asked if numerous times if he was sure. Brett assured them he was retired and Aaron went through all the training camps as the starter. Aaron put in the work during the Spring and most of the Summer to get ready. It wasn't fair to Aaron for Brett to do that, blaming TT is weak, it was no ones fault but Brett's and he's acknowledged it as of recent.

  • @BackToTennessee Well said. Favre endured the growing pains with this new group of players and damn near won a SB with them. Now Rodgers has them seasoned, and the addition of Finley, and a much better Jordy Nelson. Wasn't fair fdor Favre not to get another shot when he wanted to come back, in my opinion. but thne worst was how Thompson handled it.

  • coming from Green Bay, I have no contempt for Ted Thompson whatsoever. Favre retired , and the Pack centered their offense around Rodgers who was proving to be a boss qb.Thompson developed the team for the future, when Brett wanted to return they were already built around Aaron Rodgers, although The defense blew dick in '08, and their record suffered for it. Favre did still have game left in him, but I think three years down the line the Packers and Ted thompson made the right decision

  • for one, i dont see how the hell anyone can say trading favre was a good thing, it was good to keep rodgers over favre, do they not realise what favre did to the jets (before he got injured the last 6 games) and he turned the vikings, into the first ranked seed and superbowl bound. also had no O'line the last 2 years of his career. think about if he was on the packers if he had jennings, driver, nelson, and how familiar he was with them. amazing...

  • Awesome season. Better than the 2009 season if you ask me, but im biased haha
