Video of large tornado approaching Tuscaloosa on April 27, 2011. This footage is from The University of Alabama tower camera located outside of Bryant Denny Stadium. The tornado passed only a few hundred yards from Bryant Denny Stadium and the central campus of The University of Alabama.

@chrisz71 I ripped this from a DVD using Wondershare DVD ripper. Very easy to use. Uploaded to youtube with HP Mediasmart which came preloaded on my computer. Hope this helps.

Sadly, it was reported that Richard Scott, the meteorologist on this broadcast, had his home destroyed by this tornado.

That is my good friend Richard Scott who graduated w/ me in meteorology at Mississippi State University in 2010. What a great guy who lost his home in the tornado but still saved many lives with his coverage..I'm still at MSU in grad school in meteorology but Richard did a spectacular job of covering it..

@hambone1138 I was losing my cool just watching that monster tornado form up, can't imagine having to report live on it as it was bearing down on their studio. Major props to that man for staying so calm. I'm glad he was unharmed, but it's horrible to hear he lost his home.
