Way to spread the word brother. The Black Crowes owe their musical successs to Humble Pie and Stevie " THE GREAT" Marriott. Seriously any of you Crowes fans want to hear where there musical roots really lie trust Jay here and check out Humble Pie. It will seriously free your SOUL.

sister ;-)

People don't know what they're missing...shame, really shame 'cause quite objectively Marriott was the Gov'nor of white blues/soul singing.(Paul Rodgers is another "The Great")
And I would rather check out bands that inspired my fav bands than listen to some 'suits'- bigheaded journalists from Rolling Stone, Q or NME magazines...
Chris and Co. are all right, they named HP as one of their big influences. Chris also appeared on documentary footage "The Life and Times of Steve Marriott"

Absolutely....I remember driving to my girlfriends in about 92/93 on the weekends....was about 200m trip each way...used to have this on cassette playing loud. Perfect road music.

Man! Just when you think the song can't get any better, the bridge comes in with that gospel piano, sending the whole thing into the stratosphere! Too much soul for my laptop to handle!!!
