this is a video of a 170lb halibut caught on a ninilchik saltwater charters boat and these guys really know what there doing. there guys have caught the best, biggest, most consistent amount of fish in the last 10 years in alaska. The resaon the pole gun is used is becuse once a halibut like that is in the boat it can f u up bad saw a guy take a tail to the face once and it KOd him by the time we got back to shore ot looked like he got hit with a frying pan. Heard stories of broken limbs and one death
