The key here is 24 defense. Any less and Geyzer can one shot the Hero with his slashing claws attack. With 24 defense it does a maximum of 21 damage. Yangus can tank any combination of his attacks since he has enough HP to do it. Your chances of winning, believe it or not, are very high. You can take him out with both characters standing almost 100% of the time with this setup.

And man Geyzer did not want to finish off the Hero... I was worried I'd have to try that again.

Yangus gains 107EXP and levels up to lv4. The 3 skill points are put into Axes (オノスキル).

The party obtains 108G and a Seed of Strength. The Hero is also revived with half HP since he is needed in the cutscene after this fight.

Wait, why don't you use Yangus to attack? In my game Yangus has 24 ap, whiile hero has only 21. Why do you use hero to attack then? I don't understand!

@nero9cloud Hero cannot be cursed, Yangus can. Have fun gambling away your tension every time he uses Cursed Mist.
