Yea but an intel I7 is going to rape a dual core in any game regardless if its optimized for dual or quad core because the intel I7 supports 2 threads per core so windows can be on one of the cores and you have three more for games or anything else.

If your interested in water cooling but ur a noob at it (like me) type in "Domino" on newegg its an all in one im considering buying.

quad core is not always a good option due to the power consumption and as he said most games are optimized with dual core and fewer are optimized with quad core.

hi well by the time that i put the Q6600 in and the 2nd 8800gtx i think it probably came to around £2,000 so not too bad as that includes everything from the PC to the monitor and the Z-5500 5.1 speakers so yeah well happy :)
