Walt Disney Pictures' magical animated classic BEAUTY AND THE BEAST returns to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D™, introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of PAIGE O'HARA), a bright and beautiful young woman who's taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of ROBBY BENSON) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle's enchanted staff—a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others—and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast's exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.

Strictly Limited Season. See it at HOYTS Cinemas from August 12.

  • Eu quero muitttoooo assistir!!!

  • This movie was simply..... amazing. I watched it at the theater in 3D yesterday, and wow... I've always loved this movie, and seeing it on the big screen was wonderful. I love the Beast's castle. It's so grand and immense and majestic. And my favourite character is the Beast. He's so funny in his own way. <3 I definitely recommend you watch the re-release!

  • If there is one scene I can't wait to see in 3D it is the ballroom dance. In my opinion that scene is one of the greatest moments of cinematographic magic. And to those who believe that re-releases are cheap copouts for Disney, phooie. Disney movies have enjoyed frequent re-releases throughout the companies history, it is only with the recent rise of technology that lets you own movies that re-releases became upopular. Personally, I love the chance to see some of my favorite films in theatre.

  • ANYONE WANT TO TELL ME WHEN THIS WILL BE RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA?! ARGH!!

  • making something 3d does not make it better, people should learn to leave well enough alone. :( tsk tsk disney

  • @CrazyJordan249 I'm sorry, but I have to agree. How can you go 17 years without seeing "Beauty and the Beast"?! There should be a law against that!

By the way, it is amazing, isn't it? It's my all-time favorite movie.

Also, you're absolutely right about the Disney shows being crap. In fact, they don't even deserved to be labelled "Disney".

  • Personally I don't care that they're releasing it in 3D, I'm just super excited to get a chance to see such a classic animated movie in a real movie theatre as it was meant to be seen! If you don't like 3D then see the 2D version of it that I'm sure they'll be playing as well: problem solved :)

Just go out and enjoy the movie people!!

  • @SerenaRoberson They're releasing this movie because it's their 100th anniversary.

  • Wow. Lot of effort went into this one eh disney?

  • @SerenaRoberson It was actually WONDERFUL. It wasn't ShitD. It was really pretty. Same with The Lion King. I don't see how this is destroying it. They remastered the whole thing.
