@masterchief413 Didn't find the book a great "entry" to Sci Fi. It's good if you're into cyber punk, but it'sclearly not the most unoriginal sci fi book. I'd say Foundation is better.

@Brogan2000 Science Fiction has had such a bad rap over the years. It's only for nerds was the common thought. But it really is a fantastic genre. May I recomend getting some short story compilations. There are tons of them about. You get stories from lots of different authors and you may find some whos style you like before paying out for a full blown novel which you don't like. And I agree with Masterchief413 Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep is a great novel.

Science fiction is a genre that I've ignored much too long.
I have bought tons of science fiction books and will dive into new worlds.

@Brogan2000 Yea I've pretty much grown up in a Sci-fi infested house. I mean my parents are part Trekkie and I'm a Star Wars geek so the sci-fi genre is easy for me to get used to. But honestly of all the sci-fi films I've seen, Blade Runner was one of the most boring, but also one of the best that I've seen. I would really recommend the book it was based off of called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. To me, it's a great read if you want to get into the sci-fi genre.
