When guys say centerfuge instead of centrifuge it does not inspire confidence.

bisa dijelaskan, bagai mana pengaruhnya terhadap bilangan asam??

@Begbucks no problem. Glad to help.

@graydonblair Only 250 Thats rather appealing, 1250 watts total is still not bad. The reason why I ask is we have a chip company here that has a signature brand of Kettle Cooked Chips. They have been at it well over 20 years & have a high quality standard. I would imagine that this would extend to the oil as well.
My area has full grease collectors in general due to an retired, effluent (& lazy lol) populous. The oil is in demand ~ The refining is not. Put two & two together, Thanks for input!

@Begbucks The motor is rated at 250 watts. If you use the heater, it'll suck 1,000 Watts.
For cleaning, I'd just watch it the first few times you filter & make sure it's not building up too much in the bowl. I've heard of some people going clear to 1,000+ gallons before they've had to clean it, but that's with some pretty clean oil.
-
@graydonblair Wow! Thats not too bad, so I suppose as a rule of thumb, once per day or every other of use ought to be adequate. If you don't me picking your brain some more, what about the power consumption of the motor?
-
@Begbucks Most people usually get through about 250-500 gallons before they have to purge. If the oil is much, much dirtier though it may be every 100 gallons or so. Really depends on the condition of the oil.
-
@graydonblair Understandably so; That's still not too bad. Relative newbie question: About how often would this purge have to be performed (worst case)?
-
@Begbucks I was able to easily filter at 15 GPH with McDonalds oil, but I did have it warmed up.
It's much easier to shut it down, scrape the bowl, and then fire it back up. The quick connect fitting also makes it really easy to pull the bowl out, scrape it, get it back in place, tightened down & back in business too.
Would have been nice to see the oil befor you filterd it (say in a test tube) side by side with the oil that came out of the centrfuge. The most important thing to me is removing the water, what percentage of water dose this centrifuge remove from the oil.

@stratline7 True. That would've made a nice spot (test tube). I wouldn't count on bowl style centrifuges removing water very effectively. The McDonalds oil that I ran through this one was still pretty wet even after it had gone through the centrifuge.

I saw a ytube video yesterday using a centrifuge to extract alcohol - ethanol from mash, from chilled iced wine. The specific gravity, alcohol is different and the centrifuge removed the alcohol. I'd like to see this done with treated crude oil or fermented mash for car or home fuel. Well, just thought I'd share; and here's that video: v=rME3Q8NCWQM

@saintveil Interesting....not sure this would work for that, but definitely worth the try.

Someone accidentally parked a Toyota in the driveway lol.
I need one of these centrifuges with heater. I have the Bio-Pro 190. Should I get the higher capacity centrifuge?

@1982ridged
For a BioPro 190, this one would be plenty. They're building a bigger one, but the cost is going to be about $4-$5K, this one though is plenty big enough to filter oil for a BioPro 190.
