  • I love this, four minutes of the sheer joy of watching a Muppet dog play with a frisbee.

When you watch Barkley, you forget he's a Muppet, he moves just like a real dog!

  • This video just made me happier than I've ever been in my entire life. I remember Barkley. I remember when children's television was quality.

  • I forgot, They reused this film in the episode where everyone had their dreams. It was from Season 27 (1995-1996) (The "Coming Soon On Sesame Street" Era) (Three years before Elmo's World).

  • That dream was actually a film insert from the late 70's. I have it on an episode from Season 20.

  • I am sure that it's the music. I know I have cried watching it as a child.

  • Yeah...I bout a recent Sesame Street DVD for my lil boy....and soon found out kids today have no idea who Big Bird and other Sesame Street characters are....That is kinda sad. Growing up everyone knew all abouy all those muppets. Now i guess its all barney and Spongebob.

lol I'll still take Big Bird and the smurfs any day though

  • The dream clip made me really sad when I was younger..

    maybe it was the music.

  • Awesome! Nice use of the Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, too...quite fitting.

  • I remember this!

  • I got very nostalgic whilst watching this and a shed a few tears! I remember thinking Barkley was real as a child. He seemed so real.
