The great canterbury prog band Caravan plays the last half of "Nine Feet Underground".

Picture & sound: Panasonic NV-DX100, handheld.
The quality of this encoding is rather bad, but there's nothing much I can do about it - the 100MB file size limit requires low bitrate for video of this length...

  • @zog97xy meant the original singer of the song

  • @jamesyctfc it is the original singer pye hastings

  • Good voice but Sinclairs voice will never be matched, hate it when bands carry on without original singer.

  • oscar niemeyer mandando ver no baixo

  • Great Festival! Was there too. Magic!

Lineup is correct - btw: Leverton once wrote "Magic Forest" !

  • @mtopper66 thanks for the quick response

  • I'm pretty sure he just played a Hammond augmented by all kinds of fuzz, reverb and wah-wah effects, like Mike Ratledge of the Soft Machine did. And of course there's some piano on there as well. Anyone got any more info?

  • @mtopper66 hey do you know all the types of keyboards that sinclair uses in the original? or any for that matter.

  • yes the studio album is magic but the original line-up did live versions of this too (of which quite a few members are present in this video). i think it's pretty good, except for the vocals.

  • I think it's an interesting experiment replacing the organ work with viola and guitar solos...and they're decent, but one of the things I loved most about the studio original was the unearthly organ sound and playing from Sinclair...still, I like this version.
