In this video I give a demo of the Citizen Aqualand 20th Anniversary model in dive mode. You'll see what the display looks like as the watch descends and ascends in a simulated dive. Also shown in action are depth alarm, ascent rate alarm, and the surface mode and the dive log screens. I simulated diving by building a simple pressurized rig for the watch. Good fun.

  • Hey... Love your videos. Is there anyway you can do a review of the invicta excursion dive watch? I just got one and can find to much about it online.

  • @sunstopper Thanks. Glad you like the videos. I checked out the Invicta but I'm just not feeling that one. Thanks for the suggestion though.

  • Great video!

What needs to be inspected on the watch before the first dive? (Just got the jv0000-28e model and I can't find anywhere in the instruction book what needs to be inspected)

  • @Rendinhobre If the watch is new, nothing needs to be inspected. Also, the watch will enter dive mode automatically when it senses water. If you bought the watch used, and it's more than 2 or 3 years old, have it sent to a Citizen service center to have the gaskets and seals replaced. (Citizen recommends this service every 2 to 3 years).

  • @nikudes thx for the fast reply. The watch is new. I put it under water today, went into dive mode ready normally but it will be 4 months before I try it out on a dive. Can't wait to try it out. I only hope I don't forget to breathe while under water because I am looking at the watch too long =))

  • @Rendinhobre Great--have fun with it. And have fun diving!

  • Nice review.

  • @informant007 Hi--thanks for your comment. I assume you're asking about the alarm and lume in a diving context? I haven't used the watch diving yet—I'm planning to do so soon—so I can't answer in that regard. In general use though, I'd describe the alarm as medium loud. Again, with the lume it's difficult to quantify and I've never "tested" them per se but they're bright enough that I can make out the time even if the watch has been in the dark most of the night.
