Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Creating the Puddles

I haven't seen the new 'Final Cut' of Children of the Gods, so I guess I can't judge; but what exactly was wrong with the original puddles? The only thing I can think of is that in the first comparison they do starting at around nine seconds in, the original puddle fluctuates more when people come through and it almost seems to stick to them a bit. Other than that, I'd say it's fine the way it is.

this remake version improved a lot of things but screwed up others

I'll still have to see it, the puddles in the pilot looked kinda goofy after I had already watched all of Stargate Atlantis, where the puddles looked great.
