"They are built to take the post-rock world by storm"
The Sillent Ballet (Stephan Sherman)
"Epic, dark post-rock is at the core of Sao Paulo-based band Labirinto, whose first full-length album is already one of the best Brazilian releases of 2010 and is also remarkable due to its gorgeous artwork...."
The Guardian (Meio Desligado)
"... an epic post-rock album in the truest sense of the word -- six songs, 70 minutes running time, but nome of it wasted."
Rock-A-Rolla magazine (Anthony Balaqua)
Formed in mid-2003, by friends who sought to materialize their various musical and personal influences through instrumental composition, Labirinto seeks to create textures and environments full of imagery, as in a movie soundtrack, in which the scenes are on account of the listener's imagination.
The dedication and the diligence of Labirinto's first album drew attention of the specialized media, that acclaimed Anatema as one of the best 2010 releases and as a fundamental piece of the current effervescent post-rock worldwide scene.
The good reception to the complex and sophisticated sonority of Anatema earned the band its first tour outside the country, in June 2011, across cities in the United States and Canada, including the North by Northeast festival (NXNE).
The return to the international stages is already scheduled: in 2012, Labirinto once more takes off to North America, invited by the Canadian Music Festival, which takes place in Toronto, between March 21st and 25th, as well as several other performances across the United States during the spring 2012.
Labirinto's music is full of imagery, a multiple and sensorial experiment that gains colors insofar as the evolution of the instruments suggests unexpected trips. Be welcome to the Labirynth!
