  • hi again ricky,i noticed as you put the guitar down on the bed behind you ,you laid it on it's back, this means it will rest on its tuning pegs and they can get knocked slightly which will put the guitar out of tune,i always lay mine gently face down on something soft or use a stand to put it on when i've finished,by the way the start of the vid had me laughin my socks off!keep it up!

  • @neutronstar64 arhhhh nice tip pal never even thought about that..and ive been doing that alot..you will never see that again thanks for the comment trying to make learning fun ;)

  • Yeh reems right ur 4 sure still out of tune but dont worry thats standard. When ur tuning sometimes these tuners find it tough to pick up the sound acoustically, especially the high E string, try placing the tuner directly onto the soundboard below the soundhole, usually this helps. The E major chord is a better chord for u 2 check ur tunning so id learn that 1 soon.E,A,B7 r the 3 most used chords in popular music so id say start there,u can leave out the bottom note(pinkie finger)in B7.GL.

  • @ZEDZOR2 thanks for the headS up zed iv got the A,E,sussed out just starting on the B7,the tune on the strings seem to be better now iv move the tuner closer aswell instead of having it on my knee :)

  • rick think you're still a bit out of tune with that A there!

takes a whiile to get the hang of tuning even with a tuner - check you have tuned the E strings right, the bottom E string sounds wrong dude

    good luck

  • @reem1237 hi reem thanks you was right m8 it was out by a few turns ;) it keeps going out of tune aswell as im playing so dont know if its cause my srings are streching or cause im strumming to hard.. sure il work it out :)

  • New strings will go out of tune, they're very tense, so they just won't stay like that, taut and all, so you just need to keep retuning them depending on what type of strings you use and they'll learn to stay put eventually. I've been playing for about 18 months myself if you're interested, and I fortunately seem to have a fair deal of talent. (lucky me)

  • @guitarchallenge If u place the tuner directly onto the soundboard the reverberation helps the tuner discern which note is being played.Sometimes even then these tuners still struggle with the high E but playing a chord as an arpeggio(1 note at a time)should allow u 2 judge by ear if u need 2 b higher or lower on that last string.Generally speakin tuners can work 4 the other 5 strings no problem. All the best.

  • Hi Ricky, good luck, keep at it. Always good to begin with simple songs you know so you will obviously have better sense of the rhythmn etc.

good to see you are sleeping with your guitar

looking forward to hearing you begin :)
