No if or buts about it! You must rinse your carpet after deep cleaning. Not only will you remove more dirt, but you will also remove the cleaning solution you used. If the solution is not removed, it can attract dirt and your carpet will end up dirtier than before. This was my SECOND rinse, and still tons of soap and dirt was coming out. As David Oreck would say, Simply Amazing.

I used a Rubbermaid XTRA-LIFT Portable Extractor for this video. This rug is about 8 years old, and this was the second time it was ever deep cleaned.

  • I do a rinse cycle mainly to clean out the water lines and pump of soap. at my dad's old house, I used to clean the carpet and then in sections, poor water on the carpet and suck whatever was left up with the shop vac. worked great.
