Title track from the power trio's Revival album, recorded in 1982 at Dr. Caw Studios, IL. Written by Jordan Macarus.

Jordan Macarus - Guitars
Doug Brown - Vocals/Bass
Scott Benes - Drums/Percussion

Lyrics:
Well it's all for rock and roll
That I have sold my soul
Will you remember me when I am growing old?
Or will I just fade away?

I've got to be my own kind of man
I've got so many things to say

Well I've got to live my dreams
Even though it's not the way it seems
"Come on in boy, and sign the dotted line"
"I won't take anymore than you've got"

Well it's all for rock and roll
That I have sold my soul
Will you remember me when I am growing old?
Or will I just fade away?
Or will I just disappear?
Will I fade away?

I'm getting along in years
And my friends have all forgotten me
Should I start again?
I really need the money
Can I think of new ideas with an old point of view?
Am I as strong as I used to be?
I'm not as fast as I used to be
But oh, I can feel it
The memories flashing by
I can feel it
I feel I'm getting high

Oh no
It's so strong that I know I've got to try
Hang onto your hats boys
It's all coming back to me now

Pack your bags and get your things
We're on the road again
We're heading out in style
We're back on the road again
Well this is our second chance and we're on our way
We've got no time to lose

The time has come again
Time has come again...

  • One of the greatest most underrated or rather never discovered bands ever.

  • Go to YouTube homepage. See this on the Recommended tab. SHIT BRICKS. This is my FATHER'S BAND. I used to see these guys all the time, except vocalist Doug. He wasn't around anymore by the time I was coherent as a child.

So yeah, Jordan Macarus is my father. And I'm happy to see other people enjoying the music he and his friends created. This stuff was what I grew up with.

  • @Agricultural84 I am not trolling, I assure you. If you haven't heard some of his recent works, I do recommend checking out his release under CFM called "Face In The Mirror", there's some truly great stuff on there as well. Nostradamus and Ancient Radio are two of my favorites from that one. Glad to see other people enjoying the music! :)

  • @HellsGateProductions Mate, if you aren't trolling and Macarus is your dad, holy shit man. He is an absolute genius muscian. I know he can shred, but thats not even the half of it! My partner's Mum is a professional pianist and chelist, shred is par for the course for all true players but its the movements, the syncopation, the feel, the solo on Period of Change, is simply one the best bits of popular muscianship ever. So glad i found this stuff! Say thanks from me in Manchester England!

  • Just a note to fans; you can check out the recordings page at jordanmacarus(dot)com to see all the available albums out there!

  • @Federico95FM Pretty sure it was Doug Brown back then. If I recall correctly, he might no longer be among the living.

  • Who is the lead singer?

  • FANTASTIC !!!

  • super cool

  • Great stuff!
