Junior A Hockey - Marquette Rangers vs Traverse City North Stars - February 4, 2010

The Marquette Rangers Junior A Hockey Team defeated the Traverse City North Stars by a score of 5-4. The Rangers recently acquired Jimmy McCusker from the Alpena Ice Diggers in a trade for Danny Wood. McCusker scored the second goal and the tying goal to send the game into overtime. Neither team was able to score in overtime which led to a five person shootout. Each team had scored one goal during the shootout which led to sudden death. McCusker scored the winning goal in the sudden death shootout by dangling the TC North Stars goalie so bad that he was left helpless on his knees at the top of the crease as he skated to the right and gently slid the puck into the right side of the net.
