this movie is one of those movies that you only enjoy all of the awesome effects and carnage i mean if you wanted a good story then i am afraid you are looking in the wrong genere disaster movies are not for you! :)

The best way to judge if a movie is good or bad is to find out what the purpose of the movie was. Take Transformers 3. It's purpose is to entertain. Sure, the script sucked, and they relied too much on how hot the new chick was, but did it entertain? Yes, therefore, the movie is good. 2001 A Space Odyssey is called "bad" by a lot of people, but it's purpose is not to entertain, it's to make you think. I believe it too was a good film.
