  • Great oldtime southern convention style singing and playing here. It just don't get much better than this - even TODAY! Thanks for posting this classic from these true pioneers of gospel music! MoJoPiano

  • Oh the memories of the 1960s. My father cranked up the gospel music on Sunday mornings, loud enough to blast the windows out of the house...and my mother made a full breakfast with bacon, eggs, and pancakes before we all headed off to church.

  • Boy, this brings back some great memories!!!

  • Nice to see the drummer could make it to the gig at 0:11.

  • After going to a concert featuring the LeFeveres way back in the '50's I remember my grandfather saying that Eva Mae was the prettiest woman he had ever seen. Of course he liked her singing and playing too. All our old 78 rpm gospel music records were lost in moving so I really appreciate these recordings on YouTube.

  • @ModGirl1967 Quite literally - lol... Thanks!

  • @GodsFavoriteBassPlyr Eva Mae beat the h**l outta them keys! :p

  • Wow.. How about that Eva Mae burnin up the keys!

There was a time, especially in the southern states, when you could not advance your radio dial more than three stations at a time without hearing something that sounded just like this. Gospel on tap, just about 24/7.

    Sure do miss those days.

  • Looks like Mylon in the back playing the drums prior to joining the Stamps Quartet!

  • I had some Lefevres audios I recorded from "The Classic Lunch Hour" on KWFC 89.1 in Springfield Mo. But I moved away from there & then I lost the tapes when my car was stolen while on vacation. So it's really great to be able to hear the music again! Plus, seeing them is a total first for me! THANK YOU
