@devilsfan964 the subaru has a top mount IC i guess, the golf should have a front mount, no reason to go top mount really. so the scoop is retarded.
the turbo takes air from a filter in the bay i imagine, not much point forcing air into it, as that what it's there for :S

about the specs of the car it's a 1.6 VW engine with 2.0 ported head , forged JE pistons with 1000 CC injectors and custom made clutch and a stock gear box all together with a GT40 ball bearing turbo running at 40 psi , and yes each week he changes the gear box due to disappeared gear teeth :) he buys them by dozens now :)

guys i know the builder of the car , i'm no mechanic so don't argue me i'm passignwhat the builder of this car said to me after i asked him about the international crisis of the "subaru scoop" all of you were arguing about :), the builder said that even with the big front inter-cooler and the oil and water fed into the ball bearing blower it's still getting extremely hot so he built a directing canal under the hood from the scoop directly to the turbo to help cooling it up that's all
