Policeman with a Machine Gun harasses US Citizens at PHX airport

Machine Gun-Toting Policeman harasses US Citizens at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. He refuses to tell me what kind of gun he is carrying. Don't I have the right to know what type of weapon a public servant is carrying?

Is that type of weapon really necessary to tell people to keep traffic flowing?

Are we living in a 3rd world country?

Why did he say, "I work for a sergeant?" Is that really his supreme authority? Does he not work for the people? If his sergeant tells him to arrest someone wrongfully or open fire on an innocent person, will he do it?

Has there ever been an incident in the history of the Phoenix airport where a machine gun would have come in handy?

Why is it insane? How is he endangering anyone by carrying an AR-15?

The guns are issued. If you have an issue then bring it up to the officials that can actually DO something about it. Do you honestly think acting like that is going to make any enforcement agent in the field think "hey, maybe I'll just bring a service revolver to work today."

@GreensongOakheart All us airports are currently treated as war zones. The question is should they be. An AR 15 is a civilian gun. However, when most people see them they don't think of it that way.
