This is about men, first of all. It's that men are allowed and expected to use and abuse women for superficial reasons and society says it's perfectly OK. But women get branded with a double standard; if we love a man for who he is but he doesn't make any money we are considered stupid and everyone says "you should dump that loser and be with someone who deserves you," etc. However, if we love a man who is financially well-off we are considered materialistic. No matter what, we always lose.
