  • @jack6814 agreed, in this variation i see 33...Nb3, 34 Rd1 (forced) Nc5(winning a tempo), 35 Bf3 a5(securing the knight). I am sure vallejo saw that line, i think he was afraid of his ugly looking rook on g3 and second the white counterpart might get active. Mr. Ashley should have shared his thoughts about that possibility to make us understand high level chess better; it was a critical position.
