Bronc riding isn't beause the horse have gone mad and want the rider off its the bucking strap they tightly secure around the horses flank to cause pain and irratation... I hate that sport.

@crazehpony I wouldnt call it attitude, just been around horses longer than the average bear and done everything from showing, showjumping, barrel racing, amatuer jockey and then race horse trainer. And I just get sick of people with little knowledge of what really goes on, thinking they know everything.... And if people dont like what i have to say then so be it.... certainly wont ruin my day :))))

@XSpinDriftedX Although I'm NOT a fan of bronc riding either, I disagree that it's cruel. The horses are so used to it, they would buck without the strap because it's their job. Once the rider is off, they trot happily back to do it again. A horse with a job tends to be happy, even if it is bucking someone off.

Well tbh its not exsactly the nicest thing rodeo. and corss country horses die in so i dont see how the horse is still laughing.Not trying to be horrid x

most broncos at rodeos are treated better than the average horse. rodeos around my area even give joint and other supplementsto broncs......

@eventerchicc I didnt say I did western, thats why I asked what discipline gets hocks inj? I did barrel racing thru A.N.R.A. (Aus novelty racing ass). Where barrel racing was 1 of about 12 different racing events we did. Racehorses get their knee's & fetlocks inj coz all their weight is on their front legs, trotters/pacers break down alot in the hind coz thats where all the power comes from & if western horses get inj & retired by age 4yo, why isnt western getting protested against like rodeo??

@nickiboydy606 actually i DO have an education, and i grew up in a western barn and a lot of the barrel horses had to get hock injections and were retired at 4 yrs. old. so dont tell me to check my research. and im also not defensive! jesus all im sayting is that u cant lump together the people discipline! do i know that ther

@eventerchicc They all do the same when they get defensive. Swear at ya!! Yeah, that gets the point across!! Never said all.. Said, All types of horse sport can be considered, being the word... Cruel! Maybe if u stopped swearing at people & actually got an education, so that you can get a point across without swearing. People, like me might actually take u more seriously... What discipline are you talking about retiring at age 4yo with hock injections??? Think u need to do some more research....

@nickiboydy606 excuse me???? im pretty sure all ponyclubbers arent snobby and YES some of us r cruel to our horses, but sure as hell not all of us!!! i take good care of my horse and if u want to lump a bunch of completely different riders into one category then i can sure as hell say that western riders are some of the WORST riders ive ever seen! and also wat discipline retired ther horses at age four and give them hock injections??!! i think u need to shut ur fucking mouth.

Its all you "showy" stuck up pony clubbers, that really wouldnt know shit from clay about horses that dont like rodeo or think its cruel. Usually u lot, ur horse only has to fart and u fall off. ALL types of horse riding can be considered "cruel" if you really wanna take it to that level. Sweating them, using double bridles, using whips and spurs.... Just get over it and worry about ur own "horse sport"!!! And if you dont like it, dont watch it!!!! Too many know it all's & not enough know.....
